As Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will have a tough task at hand, but the salary for his 'job' is among the lowest for leaders globally. Paycheck India, a website run by IIM Ahmedabad professor Biju Varkkey has listed the salaries of most influential political leaders around the world. According to the website, Modi takes home Rs 1.6 lakh per month (Rs 19.2 lakh annually), which makes him one of the most modestly paid political leaders in the world. Russia's prime minister earns the highest — a whopping Rs 1.6 crore per month, which is higher than Obama's Rs 19 lakh per month.
